The year 2015 mark the 10th anniversary of the new standard jam
session, we are looking back in 2005 when it all started in the Oxident jazz club. At that time jam sessions in Berlin were rarities and only represented in the few reknown jazz clubs. The fact
that we expressively opened up our session to different style of music and show how jazz such a pivotal influence it was and still is in music, being open to professional as well as beginners but
always keeping a high quality standard was part of the new standard jam session success. As the session moved to some other places like the Theater Kapelle, and now since some years in the
Edelweiss, we are now in 2015 and if you look around there are so many sessions in town and you can go to sessions every day of the week if you want to. The new standard jam session has been a
source of inspiration for all these other session, became with time some kind of institution.
This is why we want to bring out a book to celebrate all these years and thanks all the musicians which participated in the jam, some of them following the session since the beginning, to thank the "family" which build itself in the course of the years, show the best moments of the jam and the best jokes also.
To be able to produce this book we started a crowdfunding and we need everyone's support.

The Trio around the talented singer Lorraine Lowe play the Blues. It sounds like an original Blues band from the 30's but in the same time new and fresh. They play mainly their own compositions and also a bunch of hits like "Black Betty" or "Trouble so Hard" with the Kat's arrangement.
